Dear Olivia,

You have been so close to standing. I kept waiting and waiting for you to do it! Well you finally did it! You were just sitting there in the bathtub and you pulled yourself up! To say I was proud was an understatement. I was ecstatic! My little girl is getting so big! Now walking is just around the corner! Okay not really because you haven't done it since. But you did it once so I'm counting on it! I only had my phone so the pictures are blurry and sorry our naked. I didn't tell you to stand up for the first time in the bathtub! ;) Love you Livvy!

Dear Olivia,

I have SO much to catch up on. Let me start with I believe it was Saturday night the 5th. You were fussy all night long. You just weren't sleeping very well. You had a runny nose and I think you had swallowed a lot of the mucus into your stomach. As I was patting your back and you suddenly threw up all over my shoulder. It smelled like adult throw up. You didn't get any on you so I quietly laid you down and threw my shirt on the floor as quickly as possible. Later that same night I was nursing you in bed when you threw up a TON of breast milk all over the bed. Now I was extremely lazy and exhausted at this point. I decided instead of making Greg get up and change the sheets I would just put a towel over it. (It didn't smell)

The next night I got into bed, found a towel in my way, threw it on the floor and went to sleep. You screamed and cried and fussed. It was a long and awful night. About half way through I remembered what the towel had been on the bed for but once again I was just plain too tired to care and I kept on trying to sleep. After being away from 5 am to 8 am I decided to get up. We weren't getting any sleep anyways. As I was walking you around I noticed you would tense up and push then cry. It finally dawned on me you were probably constipated since you hadn't pooped recently. I called up Aunt Shawna, who is a constipation expert, and asked what to do. She informed me to stick a bulb syringe up your little bum and squeeze warm water up there to help loosen things up. I laid you down and got to work. You didn't seem to mind it too much but nothing was happening. I kept putting more and more water in there. Finally I decided to do it one more time. Well as I pushed the water in you decided to push. Thus causing me to get sprayed from my chin to my stomach in butt water. I was so exhausted there was only one thing to do, laugh. I laughed and laughed. It was pretty hilarious.

I then realized I needed a shower and you probably did too. So I scooped you up and took you in the bath with me. As I was filling it up I happened to glance back at you and see you surrounded by poopy water. You pooped! That was the good news. The bad news was now I had to get rid of the poop. Most of it went down the drain but there was some chunks that couldn't fit. We were out of toilet paper so I couldn't just scoop it up and dump it. So I grabbed the closest bath toy and began to smash that poop down the drain. It took a good bit of time but finally all the poop was gone!

It was quite an eventful couple of days to say the least! I love you silly girl!

Dear Olivia,

For the past couple days your Dad and I keep catching your crawling on all fours. You only do it for about 10 seconds before you lay flat on your tummy and army crawl again, but I think you're getting close! Then twice today you tried to stand up while holding on to something. I wouldn't be surprised if you started doing both those things within the next couple days! It's so exciting to watch you grow and change! You'll be walking before we know it! Ahh!

Dear Olivia Beth,

We went to the zoo for Bently's birthday! I was so excited to go with my kiddos! I LOVE the zoo! :) You had been to the zoo before when you were a little tiny baby! I hate to admit but I was so excited to watch Bently at the zoo I forgot that you notice things around you now! You loved it! You watched all the animals with the cutest look of wonder on your face! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! The best part is when we went to the giraffes. You were just watching them and smiling and clapping and doing the cutest little noises! You were just star struck by those giraffes! :) I love you beautiful girl! You are my most favorite daughter! :)

Dear Olivia,

My sweet sweet girl! Guess what you started doing? Clapping! You are months ahead of your brother in this department. I think the first time you did it it was an accident. Dad actually caught it on video! But now you do it a lot! Sometimes you'll even clap with us! I love watching your little hands com together and how excited you get! You also dance to music. Which is hilarious! You shake your head and clap your hands and wiggle your arms. I love watching you go crazy as you dance to whatever is on!

Dear Olivia,

Yesterday you finally did it! You army crawled. And much to my dismay, it happened just like it did with your brother. You're even the same age as he was when he crawled! I tried so hard on my days off to get you to do it, but you are not one to be rushed. I walked in the house last night and your Dad said "You better get in here your daughter is crawling." I was happy and sad at the same time. I ran in the family room and watched as you scooted your way across the floor. Your army crawling was very impressive to your Mom. I wish you could remember the pride on my face. Little moments like this are so magical and I treasure them. I am so proud of my little crawler! Proud and scared! I'm sure you'll be getting into lots more trouble now! Let the fun begin!

I love you with all my heart beautiful!

Dear Olivia,

I feel like I have been neglecting to write you. I am sorry for that. Your Mom has been extremely busy as of late. I'm hoping some big changes will be happening to our family! :)

You are still not crawling. Here you are almost 8 months old and no sign of crawling. I think it's because you've gotten so good at rolling yourself everywhere. I am seriously in awe of how you get places simply by rolling around. You are quite mobile that way! ;) I am anxious for you to crawl though. Hopefully it happens sometime soon! :)

You are such a happy baby Miss Olivia. Everywhere we go people comment on how happy you are. You smile all the time! You have made so many hard days better by just smiling at me. :) I love getting you to smile and do many ridiculous things to get you to! Today, I did nothing. You were watching me do dishes in your high chair and every time I looked at you your face lit up. I can't even tell you how happy that made me!

I love you so much my darling Livvy! I promise to be better at writing!

Mom
