Dear Olivia,

Today I took Valerie's bridals up in the canyon! Originally you guys weren't going to come back then when Dad heard we were driving 30-40 minutes away, he decided you guys needed to come! I loved watching you and your brother play in the leaves and dance with Dad. I was taking picture pretty close to the road when I turned around and found all 3 of you dancing. I smiled and couldn't help but record some of it! I love that your Dad doesn't mind being goofy with you! He didn't care there were cars driving by, he just was having a blast with his children!

You loved having me sit in the back with you. You demanded my attention by telling me "ma ma!" over and over again. Then we played peak a boo and you laughed and laughed. I made funny faces and you laughed and laughed, and of course, I couldn't help but laugh with you! You are the cutest little thing! I realized the other day how old you've become. I keep treating you like a baby when you a toddler now! I can now play games with you like chasing you around the house or read you books. You love to be read to! It's amazing watching you grow and learn.

I love you so much my girl! Today I didn't bother with your hair and I just let it go crazy! It was pretty awesome! You have some crazy hair on that head of yours! Also while we were up in the mountains Bently laid down in the leaves and of course you immediately sat on him. Whenever one of us lays on the floor you think we become your personal chair. Luckily Bently didn't mind and we got some cute pictures of you two together! :) Then after we got home Dad caught you guys doing it again except this time you were watching Tv while sitting on top of Bently. It was pretty adorable!

Dear Olivia,

You are obsessed with shoes. Now I hadn't put shoes on you since you were born, but once you started walking I knew it was time to get some shoes on those baby feet. From the moment I put shoes on you, you were hooked. Now when we walk through the shoe department you start freaking out and trying to pull shoes off the shelf.

Then today, the shoe obsession went over the top. You kept going into your room and bringing shoes for Dad to put on. The drama started when you wanted more shoes on then you had feet! You threw the biggest fit because we couldn't put 3 different shoes one your 2 feet! It was quite comical!

I hope you are always obsessed with shoes! And then I hope we are the same shoe size! ;) I love you pretty girl!

Dear Olivia,

Yesterday we went to Aunt Jen's and Uncle Cole's house in Vernal. They have an upstairs and a downstairs and I immediately knew we were in trouble! You love stairs, but haven't had enough practice to be good at them. You did really well the first couple hours, then the inevitable happened, you fell down the stairs. And boy did you fall hard! You landed at the bottom on the tile, and you hit your face pretty hard. Your Dad and I both ran up to hold you. Your face was pretty swollen, your mouth was bleeding, and you had a bloody nose! I felt so badly. This is the first time you had been hurt to the point of bleeding up till now! You screamed for a good half an hour before you finally calmed down.

We also went to the park where you tried eating the wood chips. You tried 3 or 4 times! You kept spitting them out, yet you would keep trying to eat them! I kept putting my fingers in your mouth pulling yucky woods chips out! The good news is, while I was doing this, I found out another tooth on the bottom had poked through! You now have 5 teeth finally! I thought you might end up with just four for the rest of your life! ;) You loved the teeter totter at the park. You got so mad when my legs got to tired from squatting! Teeter Totters are a lot of work for the parents! :)

Today we went to the pumpkin patch! I feel bad because I keep calling things your first, but they're not! They just seem like first because the first time you did them, you were just a tiny baby! Now you actually participate in the fun! So it feels brand new again! :) You loved everything! You loved sitting on the tractors, you loved the petting zoo, you loved the little animal train, and the hay rides and of course the corn box! You smiled and laughed at everything! I don't know if it was the tooth popping through or what but you were in an exceptionally good mood! :) I loved watching you have fun! It made the whole experience so much fun! I can't wait till Halloween! I'm so grateful you'll be walking by then! I'm so excited to see you toddling around in your little costume! You're going to be adorable!

Dear Olivia,

I feel so badly I haven't written you more! I'm going to quickly write a few things down now while I am thinking about them! :)

You love music. And you love to dance! Your dancing is hilarious and your Dad and I are constantly mimicking you! You hold one hand in the air above your head and bounce up and down! It's seriously adorable! My favorite is you will do it standing up in the basket of the shopping cart! :) Any time there is music you will be dancing!

I think officially you now walk more than crawl! That is insane to me! You always seemed like my baby but now you are getting so big! I can't believe you are already 14 months old! It seems like two seconds ago it was July and we were celebrating your birthday! It has been so fun watching you walk! Bently just was pro from the start. You, we've got to watch you learn! You are constantly falling but you get back up and try again! :) It's seriously adorable! And of course you walk like a little drunk sailor! :) It's adorable and I almost dread the day when you are a pro walker! :)

You have so much more hair now! Annie Dickey mentioned to me that you have more hair but it's not longer! That's exactly right! I can tell there is more volume of hair but it's not necessarily all the much longer! I blame it on your beautiful perfect, incredibly gorgeous curls! I pray everyday you don't loose your beautiful curls! :)

Lately when we go to get you up from a nap, as soon as we open the door, you literally throw yourself down on your mattress. You just fall, straight down. And then when we go to pick you up you just smile like you are the most clever little girl to ever live. (Which of course you are!)

You are still using a binky which I don't like. I was talking to your Dad about trying to help you give it up and he said, "No she can have whatever she wants!" That man is going to spoil you rotten. You sure hold a special  place in his heart! Speaking of Binkies I have a theory. I theorize that before we get you up from nap you purposefully throw the binkies on the ground. Let me clarify, you now demand to go to bed with at least 2 binkies though you prefer 3. One in each hand and one in your mouth. You have become very glutinous when it comes to binkies. Anyways, I think you purposefully throw all the binkies out of the crib so you can crawl and get them later. You are only allowed to have binkies at nap time and bed time. But somehow I always catch you crawling/walking around with a binky or several. I just couldn't figure out where you were getting them from. But now I think I know! :)

You are a happy girl my Livvy! You are constantly smiling and jabbering away! You point at everything you want. You also have a mighty big attitude for someone so small. You sure do let us know if one us is doing something that bugs you. Especially Bently. I think you figured out your only defense it yelling. If Bently tries to take your toy, you hold on with dear life and yell in his face. I shouldn't think it's adorable, but I do! :)

I wish I could describe to you my love for you or how much happiness you bring into our family! You are so worth the wait it took to get you here! I love you more than you'll ever know!

Love,
Mom
